Ms. Armstrong has launched The Eric R. Villines Advocacy Institute to fill an important void for parents and communities across the State. The Eric R. Villines Advocacy is a nonprofit arm of Diamond Development, Inc. and is named in memory of Kimberly Armstrong’s 16-year old son.
Ms. Armstrong won a bitter-sweet battle against the Maryland juvenile justice system to save her teenage son from a 25-year life sentence. She – ultimately - lost his life to the violent streets of Baltimore.
Mission:
To empower and educate parents, at- risk youth, and organizations on violence intervention & prevention, juvenile justice issue's , policies, and provide hands-on advocacy support and trainings to stakeholders in the juvenile, and criminal justice system.
